Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic says he isn’t surprised by the stellar form his teammate Marouane Fellaini has showcased lately. The summer transfer window addition from Chelsea says that the Belgian deserves more credit, and that his mate’s work ethic is top notch.
With two goals in United’s 4-0 rout of Crystal Palace, Fellaini continues to win over more of his own fans. United Manager Jose Mourinho said after the game that he’s happy to have helped changed supporter perceptions.

Mourinho has also made it quite clear that he wants to keep Fellaini around for the long term. Mourinho keeps extolling the virtues of the Belgian’s character and resolve, and Matic had a lot of positive praise for the polarizing player as well.
“If you see how he works every day in the training sessions, the games he played didn’t surprise me – that he played well, that he scored goals,” Matic told ESPN UK in an interview.
“He doesn’t have the credit that he deserves. I don’t know why. But I really enjoy playing with him, and I am sure that we will continue like this.
“It’s nice to have him in the team because he can defend, on long balls he is strong and he’s always dangerous in attack. I am sure that he will show all his quality this season.”

That’s how Matic assesses Fellaini, for the Serbian’s assessment of himself, you can go to this link. Matic says his body hasn’t allowed him to be 100% himself thus far, this season and promises that he will be better.
