Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian, in the past a target for Juventus and Barcelona, admitted in late June that he still had not talked to Jose Mourinho about his Old Trafford future. Darmian admitted that Mourinho had not yet called him while he was away playing for Italy in the European Championships; sending a very blatant signal. The Special One reportedly called most of his other players in order to wish them well on international duty.
Flash forward to the present, where Darmian has made just one appearance this season, and the handwriting is certainly on the wall.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that Darmian will be out the door in January; with Inter Milan the destination.

Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has hinted Matteo Darmian will move to the club fromManchester United next year…Gazzetta dello Sport reported on their Sunday front page Darmian would then make the deal permanent either at the end of the season or in the summer.
Darmian came over last summer from Torino for £12.7m, with his Red Devils career starting off really nicely. However, after a one-sided loss to Arsenal in mid-season, Darmian was never quite the same.
In this past summer he made unprofessional and uncalled for comments about his club teammate, goalkeeper David de Gea, and transfer speculation ran rampant. He was mentioned as a target for several clubs and this season he’s fallen way down the depth chart. Antonio Valencia is the new starting right back, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah the back-up.
It’s clearly best for both United and Darmian that they move on come January transfer window.
