On this May the Fourth, #MayTheFourthBeWithYou Marcus Rashford was the hero for Manchester United in their 1-0 win at Celta Vigo, the away leg of their UEFA Europa League semi-final tie.
Rashford was Luke Skywalker, the promising, talented teenager finding and hitting the critical shot that made all the difference. Okay, we know that United is the Empire in real life, not the rebels, but we held on to the Star Wars analogy as long we possibly could.
This #MayThe4th Marcus Rashford is certainly being hailed like young Skywalker in the Throne Room scene at the end of “a new hope.”

One of the tweets above said it best, Marcus Rashford is no longer a “rising star” anymore. He has indeed arrived, and with the striker position obviously in doubt, and in flux next season, the young Englishman provides “a new hope” for 2017-18 and beyond.
