On Championship Sunday, Manchester United host Watford FC in a match that is essentially meaningless for both parties involved. United will be focused on staying healthy and right for the FA Cup final against Chelsea a week from tomorrow, and hence manager Jose Mourinho will rotate his squad again.
Mourinho already announced a quartet of players who will start, along with with another four who will sit. In terms of injury and fitness concerns, the focus is on a pair of Belgians. Striker Romelu Lukaku is still recovering from his ankle injury, in hopes that he’ll be ready in time for the FA Cup final at Wembley.
Even if he’s 100% full go ready for this one, he still wouldn’t be risked with a trophy game looming. His national teammate Marouane Fellaini could return on Sunday, however, it what may prove to be his final Premier League contest in a United shirt.
