Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has been on the move a lot lately. Loaned to Real Madrid last season, brought back to United for the summer, and then sent to Bayer Leverkusen as the season began. Chicharito is really finding his groove now in the Bundesliga.
He now has 10 goals across his last seven competitions for the club, and he’s become the first ever Mexican international to score in seven consecutive matches in Europe.
Chicharito now has 12 goals in 15 total appearances for Leverkusen, making football observers wonder why United Manager Louis van Gaal never really considered him for the first team. Hernandez fell out of favor after David Moyes was sacked, and couldn’t find his way into the starting XI.
Given all the scoring issues United has faced this season, which have been highly publicized and well scrutinized, one wonders why Chicharito was let go?
Perhaps he just doesn’t fit into the Van Gaal “philosophy?”
