It continues to be a very exciting summer at Manchester United, with plenty of topics to discuss. What offseason, right?
So let’s take a spin through the latest news and notes items making the rounds on the internet today.
-Come Sunday, we will know the club future of Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian international said he will announce on July 1, the day after his current contract with United expires, where he will be playing next season. Arsenal are apparently the favorites right now, but he has been linked to AC Milan, as well as some clubs in Turkey.

Fellaini was asked at a news conference today whether or not his uncertain club future is distracting him from the Belgians’ World Cup group deciding game against England on Thursday, and he responded: “No, for a few months I am used to it. I am strong mentally to deal with it and soon I will say where I will be playing next season.”
He then later officially confirmed that he will make the announcement on July 1, so an early happy Canada Day to Canadian readers interested in the club future of Fellaini.
-There is another Neville in the United academy system. Harvey Neville, the son of club legend Phil Neville, has left Valencia and joined Manchester United.
He actually signed his United deal on his 16th birthday.

The teenage midfielder moved over to Valencia when his dad took the position of Assistant Manager, and stayed there when his uncle, Gary Neville, took over. He now leaves the La Liga side to play for Nicky Butt’s youth team, where expectations for him will be sky high.

-United and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku missed training with his national side’s World Cup squad today, which means he is in serious doubt of featuring in the team’s final group stage match against England on Thursday. Lukaku picked up an ankle knock in Belgium’s last game, a total rout of Tunisia.
While Thursday’s match could decide the group winner, it’s though that both sides will rest some of their starters, especially those battling injuries and knocks, and Lukaku certainly falls into this category.
-Finally, in case you haven’t seen the Zlatan Ibrahimovic cover spread in the new ESPN The Body Issue, well here’s a link to it via the Daily Mail.
