It’s Manchester United at Chelsea match day eve, and with the giant Premier League clash looming, here are links to some news stories making the internet rounds.
–Anthony Martial has been named United’s October Player of the Month, once again reminding us what a poor hot take that was by Gary Neville, who went out of his way to throw massive shade at him.
Anthony Martial is also back in the France national team side for the next for their upcoming friendly matches against Wales and Germany over the next international break.
-The Manchester United Supporters’ Trust (MUST) has publicly extended an offer to meet with Jose Mourinho after the United boss ripped some sub-sections of the fan base. Unfortunately, Mourinho has declined the invitation.
He said: “I cannot meet… how many millions? I cannot meet a quarter of the planet, I think a quarter of the planet is Manchester United red, I cannot meet them.” (ESPN FC)
“The only thing I can do is to do what I do since day one, which is to fight for the club, to give everything I have to give, to try to give everything I can get in terms of support to my players because we are fighting hard, we are working hard and that’s the only thing we can do and the only thing we can promise.”
Mourinho answered the question as if he’s being asked to meet supporters or fans in general, of which some surveys claim there are approximately 670,000,000. Being asked to meet the Supporters Trust is a completely different situation.
