Liverpool FC is back in the Champions League for the first time in awhile, and look who is waiting for them in the group stages: Real Madrid, the defending Champions. Basel is a side that could be overlooked, but shouldn’t. They could be trouble. Obviously, Los Blancos, not The Reds are the favorite to come out of the group. Still, congrats Liverpool FC for making it back here finally.
Here’s a Champions League analysis video from Fox Sports
Despite drawing the strongest team in the tournament, Brendan Rodgers will be hopeful of progressing, by remindinbg themselves that Liverpool beat the Spanish giants 5-0 on aggregate the last time time they met. The fourth team in the bracket is Ludogorets Razgrad.
So we’ll see if Liverpool FC can go further this time, than they did in 2009-10, their most recent appearance in Champions League. They’re not in the Group of Death. And in this Champions League there actually is no Group of Death. Group E is probably the “Group of Life” actually.
