Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho met the media a few minutes ago to preview his side’s massive clash against Tottenham Hotspur at home. There was a ton of ground covered in this one, and we have video of the entire session is available below via YouTube:

Some takeaways from this session:

-Mourinho gives his strong opinions and overall thoughts on his side’s Carabao Cup draw.

-He maintains that Nemanja Matic is truly the player that he wanted all along in the transfer market, in spite of links to Eric Dier, who he’ll see on the opposing sideline tomorrow. “I have the player that I want to have, probably I have the player I didn’t think it was possible to have but we got the player I really wanted,” Mourinho said.

A recently released book about Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs chronicled an incident involving Dier and Mourinho, as well as the drama that ensued at White Hart Lane following the exchange.

-Mourinho gave positive news about Eric Bailly, who has missed the last five games with a groin injury, and Phil Jones, who was fit enough to play in midweek, but wasn’t needed.
