Chelsea Winger Victor Moses has now found his place at Stamford Bridge. In the summer of 2015, Moses was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, mostly as a way to open up the door for Pedro to leave Barcelona and join up with Chelsea. Pedro came over anyway, and today Moses signed an new extension with the West London giants.
While he just didn’t fit in with Jose Mourinho, he’s now found his groove and his niche under Antonio Conte. (Pedro made the move in the summer of 2015 so it all worked out for everybody in the end anyway).
“I feel very excited. I’m delighted to be here for another few years now and to sign a new deal,” Victor Moses said.
“Now it’s time to concentrate on the team and keep working hard to make sure we win games and try to win the Premier League this season. We’re having a great season, I’m enjoying my football and we have a good manager here that has given every single one of us confidence. I just want to keep on enjoying it and working hard for the team.”
The very well traveled Nigerian international has signed a new deal that will keep him at Chelsea until 2021.
Moses played with Crystal Palace and Wigan before coming over to Chelsea and spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Stoke City. There he impressed enough that the Potters hoped to make him a permanent signing for the next season. It didn’t work out that way as Victor Moses then spent some time on loan with both Liverpool and West Ham United.
