Alexis Sanchez Says Man United Have More History than Arsenal

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez will get the chance to face his former team, Arsenal, on Sunday and ahead of this blockbuster match he discussed his adjustment to life at his new club. Sanchez has started very slowly and hasn’t produced a whole lot since changing teams in the January transfer window.

That’s totally understandable as he had to adjust to a new position and team in mid-season and that’s pretty difficult to do. Sanchez, in an interview with the club’s official web channel MUTV, says he’s still adjusting to life at Old Trafford. He pointed out how United is a different club, and that, in his opinion, they have more history than Arsenal.

“It is very different here. I think United is a club with more history and we want to win trophies next year,” said the Chilean who moved as part of a swap deal which saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan going the other way.

“We need to keep progressing. United is a big club, to which I am still adapting, and I am looking forward to giving everything I’ve got next year and aiming to win everything there is to win.”

Sanchez, with three goals in 14 games, may be on the way to turning things around. He scored United’s first goal in their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semifinal last weekend, in a performance that saw him named man of the match. Look for him to be a major factor on Sunday when he takes on his former mates.
