The man in this video TRULY needs no introduction. An HBO documentary “Bird & Magic: the Courtship of a Rivalry,” focusing on him (and his friendly collegiate/NBA rival Larry Bird) is currently dominating water cooler conversation everywhere.
Earvin “Magic” Johnson led the Michigan State Spartans to the 1979 national title, in a championship game that revolutionized interest in March madness. To this day, it’s still the most watched title game in history.
In the NBA, he had a career that places him unquestionably within the game’s all-time top 5. His professional resume includes 12 All-Stars, 5 championship rings, 3 MVPs, the highest assists per game average in league history, and the co-captaincy of the greatest basketball team in history (’92 USA Olympic Dream Team)
In retirement, he’s become the most successful and well known spokesperson for HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention in history and an entrepreneur with a personality and charisma unlike anyone you’ll ever meet!
Without further ado, I give you two videos of Magic Johnson:
