We have known for quite some time that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario was leaving. We just didn’t know when, or where he was going. Vicario loved the club, so it’s too bad that there is really no place for him.
At least the 29-year-old Italian international is returning to his home country however!

Tottenham sent Vicario out on loan to Juventus for this upcoming season, and the shot-stopper completed his medical earlier today.
An official announcement is expected at some point tomorrow. The loan deal includes a £8.6m option, but not obligation, to buy. Vicario lost his starting gig to Antonin Kinsky last season, and Martin Dubravka was brought in this summer to be the new No. 2.

Tottenham broke their club transfer fee record twice this summer.
Vicario is the fallback option after Juve’s attempts to sign Emi Martinez from Aston Villa fell through. Vicario now returns to Serie A, after making 117 appearances for Spurs.
