Philippe Coutinho Drawing Interest from Tottenham, but not Arsenal

Philippe Coutinho has had a failed stint at FC Barcelona, and the Catalan club are reportedly looking to  recoup some of the money lost on the astronomically massive investment they made in the Brazilian. The former Liverpool man has been linked with a return to the Premier League, and the names of almost all of the big six clubs have been mentioned.

A return to Anfield has been been ruled out by LFC manager Jurgen Klopp, and the transfer narratives linking Coutinho with Manchester United have been discredited by his agent.

There have been also reports linking him with a move to Arsenal, but it now appears that the north London side has lost interest. However, the Gunners’ neighbor and rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, could be keen.

According to both Goal and ESPN, Arsenal out of the picture, but Spurs are in. The likelihood of the winger moving to White Hart Lane though hinges on a couple transfer dominoes though. He is reportedly viewed as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen, should the Danish winger move to United (as is being speculated upon).

And Eriksen to United might not happen unless Paul Pogba is sold off, with Real Madrid the only plausible destination at this point.

Happy summer transfer window deadline day eve everybody!

There are a ton of moving pieces in place here that would all need to be solidified in order to get Coutinho over the line by the final buzzer.
