It’s summer transfer season, and the Cristiano Ronaldo rumors are flying fast and furious right now. The entire football world is fixated on how Ronaldo wants out of Real Madrid and Spain altogether.

Paris Saint-Germain could rival Manchester United in the battle to acquire CR7’s signature.

Given that Ronaldo is the highest earning athlete in the entire world, according to Forbes, United and PSG are two of the very few destinations that have both the big bankroll, plenty of madden coins, and the major brand presence to legitimately attract and possibly sign him.

So where does this situation stand right now? It all depends on which outlet you believe.

Here’s a quick synopsis of what some of the most recently updated news stories are claiming in regards to the “Come Home Ronaldo”  narrative. Let’s take a look at the latest headlines.

-Corriere dello Sport, a well-known Italian outlet, claims Paris Saint-Germain are putting forth a €140 million offer, which would amount to €30m a season, more than €575,000 a week.

-Metro reports that United Manager Jose Mourinho has told his club that he would prefer to sign Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of any other striker. Mourinho and the 32-year-old share an agent in Jorge Mendes.

Last summer United broke the world transfer fee record, for the first time in club history, when they brought Paul Pogba back #Pogback to Old Trafford for £89.3 million.

If they return another former player in CR7 this summer, or if it’s PSG, or maybe even a big club in China with deep pockets, whoever it is, they will be paying an amount that greatly eclipses the Pogba fee. It could be close to almost double that amount!

-Marca, who are based in Madrid, report that Los Blancos will set the price for Ronaldo at €200m.
