According to reports in The Telegraph, back on Christmas, Chelsea would have had to pay Jose Mourinho any shortfall in wages, should his salary at United been lower that what he earned at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues gave The Special One a fat contract extension last August, worth about £10 million per season. That’s the exact same salary he makes now at Old Trafford, so he will no longer collect any checks from the West London club; who were paying him until he got that new gig.
Now that he’s no longer receiving any income from the Blues, he is absolutely “done” with them.
That point was driven home today as a fan attempted to get the Portugese to sign a Chelsea jersey for him. Jose Mourinho was absolutely not having it.

Jose Mourinho, who had two stints with Chelsea, won the Premier League title in 2014-15 by a very wide margin, but suffered a horrific title defense last year.
The awful campaign, in which he seemingly lost the dressing room, resulted in his getting sacked by Christmas.
