Man United News: Valencia, #GlazersOut Movement, Wan-Bissaka, Neville

All the hype that entered this summer transfer window at Manchester United has not been realized. MUFC have been linked with approximately 45,329 players this silly season, but only two, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, have actually been signed.

Hopefully, there will be more signings to talk about between now and when the transfer window closes in August, as there have been multiple reports indicating United want to sign three more players in addition to the pair that they have landed so far. With that in mind, here are some of the top trending news items and transfer narratives in the Manchester United online community on this Aaron Wan-Bissaka day.

There are many pundits who believe that Wan-Bissaka will be United’s starting right back for a very long time to come. He certainly fills a very important void for the Red Devils, as he’s a major upgrade over Ashley Young or Matteo Darmian.

Another former first teamer at the position, ex-skipper Antonio Valencia, exited the club at the end of this past season. He has now joined a new club, in his native country of Ecuador.

Valencia is now with LDU Quito, as a club statement, in reference to the 33-year-old reads: “One of the most outstanding players in the history of Ecuadorian football, Antonio Valencia has joined the Whites.” Sports Mole has more at this link.

There’s been a lot of reaction, from all over the football universe, to the AWB news today, with a piece of social media trolling by Gary Neville getting a ton of attention. The former United right back and current very strongly opinionated pundit, made a post on Instagram that incited lots of shade to be thrown at Liverpool.

Via the Manchester Evening News:

Underneath United’s Instagram post announcing Wan-Bissaka which read: “It’s official – @A_Bissaka is a Red,” Neville commented: “He hates……”

Over 8500 fans liked the comment, with users suggesting he was referring to a common chant for Neville which goes: “Gary Neville is a red, he hates Scousers.”

Finally, today brought the #GlazersOut protest at Old Trafford, as a large contingent of the United fan base is currently in revolt against the Glazer family ownership of the club.

#GlazersOut has been a top trending term on Twitter today. Utilizing the club’s original colors, green and gold, some MUFC supporters have made it known just how much they want the current regime removed.

Their slogan: “green and gold until the club is sold.”

Fantastic signing

but he deserves better than a club with no real ambition beyond making money for fat greedy americans. #GlazersOut pic.twitter.com/gmcT9QPnww
