Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was extremely upset with the officials and understandably so after his side’s 2-2 home draw with Tottenham Hotspur today. Klopp’s team ended up on the wrong side of a couple questionable calls in this one, a memorable match that ended with eight minutes of mayhem.
Tottenham’s comeback, which salvaged a point for the visitors in a match that should have seen all three go to the home side, was aided by a pair of breaks that went against Liverpool and awarded Harry Kane a pair of penalty kicks.

Kane missed the first spot kick awarded to his team, on a play in which the English striker was offsides, but it wasn’t called. Kane converted the second PK, which came in extra time, and was awarded from Virgil van Dijk’s challenge on Erik Lamela.

Jurgen Klopp on whether or not he received an explanation:
“Did you ever hear? I am not allowed to go in their room until half an hour after. It was clear offside, unbelievable, I don’t know what they were discussing.”
“Yes, Virgil van Dijk touches him, but we all know Lamela wants the touch and we all know they were so hard fouls in the first half and we didn’t get any fouls. That was the level for the game today, but then a situation in the last minute like that? Wow. He wanted to be middle of interest and he is.”
