As Chelsea FC’s game against Hull City approaches, there is a dominant question being asked by Chelsea fans, how is John Terry’s recovery going?

(Editor’s Note: the following Chelsea FC injury report is by Caleb Thompson)

Terry turned his ankle in the latter stages of the 2-2 draw with Swansea on the 11th of September, meaning that he hasn’t been able to participate in any competition since then. This meant that David Luiz was brought into the starting lineup to replace him. This came with great success as a majority of people now tip Luiz alongside Terry on Saturday.

On Instagram, John Terry has posted several photos and videos showing the recovery process, even going so far as to say that the bike he was using during training was “horrible.”

Throughout the recovery process Terry has posted photos of him resting his foot and even exercising in a pool to reduce the load on his damaged ankle. All in all, it shows that Terry will be ready and fit for the upcoming game against Hull City and his ankle won’t hold him back from performing to the best of his ability.

Antonio Conte has acknowledged John Terry’s injury recovery, and has already hinted that he will start him alongside Luiz in the upcoming match. Chelsea fans will hope Terry’s presence will be the spark that fixes the team’s defence. In the past few games, the defence has been scrutinized for not performing. John Terry, fans hope, will be the inspiration the team needs to press on and earn a win from their weekend fixture.
