Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, reportedly the world’s 139th richest man, was photographed a couple days ago alongside his estranged wife, Dasha Zhukova, for the first time since the couple announced their split. As they said in their joint statement, it was an amicable break up, and the two plan on remaining close friends and business partners.
The pair have a shared business interests in the New York City art community, and it was in the Big Apple where the photos were snapped of the duo.
Via the Daily Mail: “The couple could be seen smiling and laughing as they walked together, and appeared to be having an animated conversation. The Russian billionaire, 50, and his 36-year-old estranged wife have two children, a son, Aaron Alexander, born in 2009 and daughter, Leah Lou, born in 2013.
“Both children were born in the USA and will live their with their mother in Manhattan while attending school in the city.”
Certainly this display affirms the idea that the separation was on good terms, and that the couple will remain in the friend zone. It also potentially discredits the idea that Zhukova is looking to truly take Abramovich to the cleaners in their divorce settlement. That’s a narrative which had been pervasive in the tabloids since their separation was announced.
The duo are reportedly one of the richest couples in the world, with homes in the south of France, the Caribbean, Moscow, London and Colorado.
It’s possible that the property in the Caribbean was destroyed by Hurricane Irma.
Very advantageous of Dasha Zhukova to live and work in New York City, as that keeps her close to Ivanka Trump, someone with with which she is very tight. It pays to be close friends with the daughter of and senior advisor to the President of the United States of America.
