Paul Pogba Wins Europa League Player of the Year Award

Manchester United made club history in May by winning their first ever Europa League title. The triumph over Ajax in Stockholm capped the long tournament run and thrust the Red Devils back into the UEFA Champions League this season (United received their UCL group stages draw yesterday).

Midfielder Paul Pogba was awarded Europa League Player of the Year today, and the announcement was celebrated on social media, by both the Frenchman himself and the team in general. Have a look at the Twitter postings below:

Pogba has gotten off to an fantastic start this season in domestic league play, helping United to two resounding victories. He’s been pegged to win world player of the year by teammate Anthony Martial. Additionally, famed broadcaster Ian Darke pegged Paul Pogba to win Premier League player of the year. 

High expectations this season for the Europa League player of the year.
