Six leading candidates to replace Mourinho as Chelsea Manager

It’s not a matter of if, but when Chelsea sacks Manager Jose Mourinho. Reports indicate that he has two games to save his job. How many games he has left is irrelevant if it’s true that he’s really lost the dressing room. The “I’d rather lose than win for Mourinho” quote is not just out there, it’s everywhere.

And if it’s one hundred percent real, then Mourinho is done. It’s just a matter of time.

Betting has been suspended on who will be the next Premier League Manager sacked. There is however action on who could replace Mourinho. Take a look at five leading candidates, via Betting Pro.

Fabio Capello – 7/2 William Hill

Carlo Ancelotti – 9/2 William Hill

Pep Guardiola – 8/1 Paddy Power

Diego Simeone – 10/1 Ladbrokes

Brendan Rodgers – 10/1 William Hill

ESPN FC partners with Bet365.com on these sort of things, and here is the Chelsea manager candidate list that they came up with-

Carlo Ancelotti 4-1

Pep Guardiola 8-1

Guss Hiddink 9-1

Diego Simone 9-1

Brendan Rodgers 18-1

I’m really shocked to see Rodgers listed in both. He seems like a ridiculous long shot at best. Well, at least none of the sports books have given great odds to Tim Sherwood; now that would be insane.

Personally, I think it’s going to Ancelotti all the way. It’s just my humble opinion, but he makes such perfect sense. It all really all adds up nicely. The Carlo Ancelotti replacing Mourinho at Chelsea story line is like doing a proof in high school geometry class.

Remember those? If A holds true, then B holds true. And if B is true, then C must also be true. Eventually, you get your theorems, postulates, rules, laws and equalities to all add up into the finished product. Here’s more elaboration on this idea.
