Arsenal FC finished second in the Premier League this season, but they did top the table in one category- money made from the league! Yes indeed, the North London side topped the table in club payments received from the English top flight, £101.952 million. Second on the list were Manchester City at £96.972 million, followed by Manchester United at £96.477 million and Tottenham Hotspur with £95.222 million.

Leicester City come in fifth with £93.22 million as the league champions were chosen for live television broadcasts in the UK much less than the traditional powers.

The Premier League has announced the value of the central income payments made to its clubs in the 2015/16 season.

The revenue distributed to clubs includes income generated from the sale of central broadcasting rights (UK and international) and other central commercial rights.

Perhaps Arsenal Manager Arsene Wenger can now take some of that kitty and reinvest it into the club this summer transfer window. Last summer, the Gunners were the only Premier League club who didn’t buy a single outfield player during the transfer period. Maybe they’ll make up for that lack of activity this time.
