jay-cutler-dont-care-2014-nfl-mock-draft

Here is our seven round NFL mock draft. It’s not written by me, it’s authored by a website reader who wishes to remain anonymous. I will tell you he puts a whole lot of work into it. And of course because a seven round NFL mock draft is a ton of work. And this version is even improved and augmented, as there’s even a little bit of commentary sometimes.

As always, here’s my latest NFL mock draft; which is only one round, but goes into detail on every pick in the first round.

Anyways, let’s begin our full seven round NFL mock draft.

  1. Not sure how anyone can project 7 rounds. While I think you can get some consensus on what Rd a player grades at, it seems like starting in the 3rd you could blindfold yourself and throw darts and be about as accurate picking which team gets who. As someone who watches Arizona regularly, none of the guys you have selected for them seems to be a fit, nor do any of them fit the BPA philosophy. Let me explain:

    1) Louis Nix (DT but Really a NT, ND) – bottom of AZ need list; Fatal Flaw: horrible last season, may never recover from the beating Chance Warmack gave him in title game, likely will have nightmares the rest of his life; Risky pick at No. 20

    2) Jeremiah Attaochu (DE GA. Tech) – Fatal flaw: Can’t cover;

    3) Antone Exum (S Va. Tech) – Fatal flaw: Misses too many tackles;

    4) Cameron Fleming (OL Stanford) & 5) Richard Rodgers (TE Cal) – Both should have stayed another year; Cal had horrible qbs his entire career, not sure how you can tell anything about their receivers on film. Arizona has 3 vet TEs under contract now, 2 of which they just signed;

    6) Kapri Bibbs (RB Colorado St) Fatal Flaw: Can’t pass protect.

    Okay, now who I think they should go after in the 1st 3 Rds. Losing Dansby, replacing him with Minter (Thumper), means the Cards have to get more speed in the back 8, namely 2 LBs and 1 safety. All 3 need size and must be able to cover. I would like to see them pick from these 3: Dee Ford, Bradford, Van Noy. If they don’t pick up FA Michael Huff, I would like to see them take either Clinton Dix or Bucannon. Starting in the 4th, its BPA.

    I admire how you’re sticking your neck out there, projecting 7 rounds. While I think you can get some consensus on what Rd a player grades at, it seems like starting in the 3rd you could blindfold yourself and throw darts and be about as accurate picking which team gets who.
