Chicago Bulls franchise cornerstone Derrick Rose says he’s “definitely” going to play in the first game according to a group of reporters covering Rose at an Adidas event in Spain today.

“I should be able to play in the first game of the season,’’ Derrick Rose said, according to

Derrick Rose handled last season HORRIBLY, at least from a public relations perspective. Both his handlers and the Chicago Bulls handlers could not have failed any worse in the way they managed news about the Derrick Rose rehabilitation and return. Both sides did extensive damage to the public image of Derrick Rose.

Of course, all that will be wiped away clean. Everything will be forgotten and back to normal when Derrick Rose steps back onto the court.

“I know I’m anxious right now to play,’’ Derrick Rose told the media. “My health is everything right now, it’s 100 percent. But right now, the first game … I will definitely be playing it.

“[Mentally] I’m just strong as I’ve been. I had the time to think about what’s important in my life, getting better on the court, watching a lot of film with [coach Tom Thibodeau], asking him questions, talking to him about two times a week. … So he’s been kind of a professor to me,” Derrick Rose elaborated.
