Best Signs of Women’s March Chicago (PHOTOS)

No matter who you are, or what kind of campaign you ran, your assumption to the presidency will most likely be protested. When you seize White House despite winning over 27% of eligible voters, AND lose the popular vote by 2,864,974 votes, there’s going to be a LOT of people protesting your inauguration.

Thus, Women’s March Chicago drew a massive crowd, estimated to be around 250,000 according to the Chicago Tribune. The primary Women’s March, Washington D.C., drew about half a million, according to estimates.

The Los Angeles edition was supposedly close to 750,000.

All in all, coast to coast, it could end up being the biggest gathering of people, of any sort, in American history, says the Daily Kos, who also cite these numbers below

Rallies in many cities have spilled out of designated areas, and any “marching” has sometimes become symbolic as protesters completely filled the entire route of the march. In LA, the monster crowd swallowed block after block.

Excerpt from Daily Kos Some crowd sizes

15,000 March in Cleveland

60,000 in Minneapolis / St. Paul

22,000 in the March on Houston

100,000 in Denver (police estimate)

60,000 in Atlanta  (police estimate)

40,000 in Austin  (police estimate)

13,000 in St. Louis (police estimate)

70-100,000 in Portland, Oregon (estimates from police and organizers)

5-10,000 Augusta, Maine:  (estimates from police and organizers)

Now on to the Women’s March Chicago photo gallery. The Twitter photos are below, followed by the Instagram postings. We start with local media legend Irv Kupcinet. His hand points directly at Trump Tower, which might make this sign, from a contextual stand point, the best of the day.

Trump has declared war on the media, and now we in the media are returning fire.

Two of my three sisters, one of which is my stem cell donor, and the primary reason I attended Women’s March Chicago. I am passionate about the cause of fighting Trump, especially on his crusade to abolish the free press, but mostly I did this for my sisters (the third was unable to attend, but she stands with us on sociopolitical ideologies)

Read it two or three times, then give it a few seconds to let the message sink in.

Usually, I see Hitler comparisons as a sign of weakness, last course desperation, in an argument, but it’s apt with Donald John Trump. After all POTUS 45 even evoked Nazis himself in his farce of a press conference last Wednesday.

Also, this is a very creative title, and an excellent drawing.

You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to have this. Unbelievably beautiful weather, especially so for January.

There were a ton of pussy hats, pussy cats, “this pussy grabs back” “this pussy has got claws” and so forth.

Ran into a fellow Chicago Bulls reporter, a NBA writer, and a NBA sports writer while attending Women’s March Chicago. Also, saw lots of Bulls and Chicago Cubs gear sported by participants.

#CubbiesAgainstTrump.

Also, look at this beautiful shot of the parkway, amidst the canyon of the buildings.

We also saw a ton of other great signs that we weren’t able to snap pics of. Some of them said “Not my pussy,” “girls just want to have FUNdamental rights,” “our rights are not up for grabs,” “our pussies are not up for grabs,””no alt reich,” “pussy power.”
