Liverpool may have lost 3-1 to Manchester United today, but they certainly had the highlight play of the match. Make that the highlight play of the weekend; worldwide. The Reds triggered the pricy release clause of striker Christian Benteke in order to bring him over from Aston Villa FC, and they expect successful results. This goal, Benteke’s second of the season, has everybody talking right now.

This is your early season goal of the year. Take a look at the footage in slow motion.

Wow! Benteke really reached the sky there with that sublime other-worldly bicycle kick. The game ended over two hours ago and the name Benteke is still top ten trending worldwide on Twitter. As it should be with a highlight reel play like that. It was revealed earlier this week that Benteke has begun working with a mental coach.

Primarily, it’s to help with his adjustment from AVFC to LFC. Going to a big club on a big money deal like Benteke has brings a lot of expectations and hopes.

You know Benteke’s mental coach was smiling when he saw this goal today.
