What a difference a couple of weeks can make in world football. This once seemingly invincible 2017-18 Manchester City side has now conceded eight goals in their last three matches; all of which were losses. Last weekend in this same space, City were looking at clinching the Premier League title, in a dream scenario, as it was at home versus the rival team they despise the most.
Now, they’re at least two wins away from the title, although it will still inevitably belong to them, and thus give them a double on the season (EFL Cup). Tomorrow night City ventures to Wembley Stadium to take on a Tottenham Hotspur side that hasn’t lost during 2018. The last team to beat them? Wait for it…Manchester City, by a whopping score of 4-1!
Here’s the line-up we think Pep Guardiola will go with, as he seeks to recreate their winning ways.
