This is the usual time and place on this website where we post the Vine(s) of any Manchester United goal(s) scored in the match. Obviously, there were none, so instead we’ll show this footage.

Wayne Rooney had a goal that was nulled due to an offsides call. It was a borderline situation that could have gone either way. They easily could have given it to him. The Captain of both Manchester United and England has now gone 858 minutes without a goal.

Should Wayne Rooney have gotten the benefit of the doubt here? Or was this the right call? Comment below.

United dominated this game, at least on the statistics sheet they did, and really should have won. It’s a shame they only took one point from this home fixture.

Shots- MUFC had 20 (Memphis Depay had 4, 2 on goal, Juan Mata had 5, 2 on goal) NUFC had 7 (Alexsandar Mitrovic had 4 shots)

Because there were no goals you can assume that this wasn’t exactly the most thrilling Premier League regular season game you’ll ever see. Not quite true though as we saw lots of balls hit posts and crossbars. Many shots missed by very little. Newcastle’s Tim Krul was brilliant today, keeping a clean sheet with eight saves.

For Manchester United this is the first time they’ve had four consecutive Premier League clean sheets since the Sir Alex Ferguson era.

United also dominated Newcastle in possession 62%-38%, chances created 15-6, pass accuracy 89%-73%

Just two goals (and one of those was an own goal) through three games for the Red Devils.
