Paul Pogba Torched Again on Twitter Following Poor Showing

Once again, Paul Pogba was a top internationally trending term on Twitter, and once again it wasn’t positive in its nature. The social media channel was brimming with backlash against the man Manchester United paid £89.3 million for this past summer.

United drew at AFC Bournemouth today 1-1, due to a first half where United dominated but didn’t get/convert their chances.

In the second half, the Red Devils were just awful, and unable to overcome the Cherries’ (who were then playing with only ten men) desire to play for a tie, and not a win.

The world’s most expensive player was a popular scapegoat. It continues a trend this season which has seen Pogba receiving more attention for his outlandish hair cuts, dance parties posted on social media and focus on emojis than he has for doing anything dominant on the pitch.

Just last month, United club legend Rio Ferdinand really ripped into Pogba pretty harshly; although to be fair, he did walk that back somewhat a couple weeks later.

Here is a collection of some of the more entertaining swipes at Paul Pogba today on the micro-blogging platform:

The day Pogba signed and we all got excited… But he took the number 6 shirt. Maybe we should've known all along we were finishing 6th.
