We know Manchester United has some severe issues at midfielder. We know the Sir Alex Ferguson book “My Autobiography” has a lot of revelations, especially in the “old news is new news” category.
Roy Keane became a “nightmare.”
Owen Hargeaves “had no confidence in himself whatsoever.” Sir Alex Ferguson rips him in detail here.
Steven Gerrard wasn’t a “top, top player.”
Sir Alex Ferguson won 38 trophies in 27 years, but he seems to have it in for certain types of midfielders. And maybe that explains why Sir Alex Ferguson did not sign a central midfielder during his last six years at Old Trafford. He spent millions address the needs of every other position except the centre. And as you know “the center will not hold,” and it’s also where “the creamy filling is.” Maybe Sir Alex Ferguson just gave up on this area, after being burned my two many guys with potential who just didn’t pan out?
Either way, it’s a shame the press has made so much of the Sir Alex Ferguson autobiography, before anyone has had a chance to really read it. Let people read the book first, then make up their judgment! Not vice versa.
