AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, a targeted of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool this summer, wanted resolution on his club future before the World Cup began in earnest this weekend, and it didn’t happen. However, according to a major outlet in Rome, that closure will soon be here.
It looks the Brazil #1 will get this all wrapped up soon, with Real Madrid the destination, as Corriere dello Sport claim it is only a matter of days until the deal is done. Thus, it appears the two Premier League giants, if this report turns out to be right, will be left disappointed. So much for Roberto Firmino’s recruiting efforts in Brazil camp.
If this move goes through, Roma will be left searching for a replacement, and Real Madrid will have their upgrade over Keylor Navas. Madrid have been trying to replace Navas with Manchester United’s David de Gea, but with the #1 at Old Trafford penning a five year extension on Friday, obviously that’s not going to happen.
Filling out the rest of the Alisson domino theory- Thibaut Courtois is apparently safe at Chelsea, while Liverpool will need to find their Loris Karius replacement elsewhere now.
