Chelsea FC Squad Numbers Revealed: Kante #7, Michy #23

Chelsea FC have landed in the United States. Their plane touched down in Los Angeles, California and they have commenced training for the International Champions Cup, a meaningless preseason faux-tournament. On Saturday, they’ll face Real Madrid at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It’s the second largest stadium in the world, and the biggest of any outside of North Korea.

The last time a soccer game was played there, in August of 2014 between Real Madrid and Manchester United, a new record was set for American soccer single game attendance.

Chelsea FC have announced the squad numbers for the Madrid friendly, as well as for the upcoming season. Their summer blockbuster signing from reigning Champions Leicester City, N’Golo Kante, will wear #7.

Other changes of note include Pedro moving to #11 from #17. The other big signing, Michy Batshuayi, will wear #23 and Ola Aina — fresh from signing a new long-term deal — will wear #34. The link to the Chelsea FC .com post on this is below.
