The University of Michigan football team in conjunction with the Big Ten Conference announced today (Monday, May 21) the conference schedules for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

The Wolverines will open the 2015 and 2016 conference slate with in-state rival and Legends Division foe Michigan State.  U-M will travel to East Lansing on Oct. 3, 2015 and host the Spartans on Oct. 1, 2016 in Michigan Stadium.

Following the Big Ten road opener at Michigan State in 2015, Michigan will renew its rivalry with Wisconsin for the first time since 2010 by hosting the Badgers on Oct. 10.  U-M’s remaining conference home games include playing Minnesota the following Saturday on Oct. 17 before hosting Nebraska on Nov. 7 and closing out the regular season with Ohio State in the Big House on Nov. 28.   In addition to its contest at Michigan State, Michigan will travel to Illinois on Oct. 24 before an open date on Oct. 31, and will play consecutive road games at Northwestern (Nov. 14) and Iowa (Nov. 21).

U-M will not host back-to-back conference games in 2016.  In addition to its conference home opener against Michigan State, the Wolverines also will face Northwestern (Oct. 15), Illinois (Nov. 5) and Iowa (Nov. 19) in Ann Arbor.  Michigan will make road trips to Minnesota (Oct. 8), Wisconsin (Oct. 29), Nebraska (Nov. 12) and Ohio State (Nov. 26), while its open date is scheduled for Oct. 22.
