As we write this, Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is the number one trending term on Twitter right now.
That’s not a good thing. (Bears is number two by the way) He left his team’s home opener with a right hand injury, but until after he tossed this ridiculously bad interception that is getting the name Jay Cutler absolutely roasted right now on social media.
Jay Cutler never saw Nigel Bradham…

Overall, his stat line isn’t terrible; when you consider that his offensive line is brutal and the Bears have pretty much no run game. Also, Chicago was trailing 22-7 at the time he exited stage right. Cutler finished 12-17 for 157 yards, no touchdowns, one interception, for a passer rating of 74.9
Again not awful, but this is Jay Cutler and thus everything he does wrong will be magnified because he is Jay Cutler and just not a very charismatic person. What is likable are some of these tweets, because a few are really quite funny. Here some of the more entertaining 140 characters or less offerings that we came across.
We start with the most dislikable troll and no talent hack of the sports media world:
I used to love Jay Cutler, in part bc he went to my school, Vanderbilt. But I just can't defend him any more. Not sure he really cares.

Good insight from NFL Network’s Rich Eisen here
Say what you will about Josh McDaniels but it appears he saw straight thru Jay Cutler.

Now let’s get silly
Ohhhhhh Jay Cutler is hurt. Because this terrible performance does not fit with his 11 years in the NFL.

Jay Cutler just served up that interception on a silver platter, man. You might as well just call him Jay Butler. Now that's wild.

No, Brian Hoyer is not a better option than Jay Cutler. Let's just stop there. #Bears

You may or may not be wondering if Cutler’s feelings might get hurt by Twitter assailing him all night. I’m sure he’ll be fine. It’ll roll off his back; I don’t think he cares.
