It’s Liverpool at Napoli, but perhaps the main story line here will be Jurgen Klopp versus Carlo Ancelotti in this UEFA Champions League group C clash. You have two well known managers, who have both accomplished a lot in Europe over the course of their careers. For Ancellotti, he brings a very healthy side that has no fresh injury concerns.
Mario Rui, who got sent off against Juventus, is expected to be back in place for this one.
For Liverpool, Croatian sensation Dejan Lovren could come back into the lineup, while in attack Daniel Sturridge has certainly made his case to be in the first team. His sensational scoring strike against Chelsea saved the day. However, the forward group is loaded, and right now there probably isn’t a place for him until somebody goes down with injury.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana remain long term absentees for the Reds. Liverpool have only lost just two of their last eight visits to Italian clubs, with one of those setbacks coming in their most recent European away game, at AS Roma in last season’s UCL semi-final tie.
