Two midfielders scored their first goal for Manchester United today: Daley Blind and Marouane Fellaini. Blind scored his equalizer in the 86th minute to help United salvage points in their visit to The Hawthorns. (Yes, West Bromwich Albion has a home stadium name which sounds like the name of a nighttime drama on the CW; or an outlet shopping mall)
Because Daley Blind scored when trailing so late, today’s draw felt like less of a loss. It’s a “yeah, this bad, but it could have been a lot worse type of emotion.”
Lovely finish from Daley Blind. 2-2! ????????https://t.co/0ACRLBuMIz

Here’s video of the Fellaini goal, and what the official West Brom account tweeted to rip on him right before he scored at The Hawthorns.
Some fun facts about the goal: it was the exact 140,000th score in the history of the English top flight, and it comes in Blind’s fifth game with United. With Ajax, it took Daley Blind five seasons to reach his first goal. The Red Devils picked up a point today, but the failure to grab two more additional points dropped them from fourth to sixth in the standings.
