The Pflugrad family is definitely making their mark in college football. Former Oregon Ducks cheerleader Amanda Pflugrad is an internet media sensation. (See the pics in this post to understand why) and senior Arizona State wide receiver Aaron Pflugrad is second in receiving yards, third in recpetions, and tied for first in TD catches for the #24 ranked Sun Devils.
They are to Pac-12 football what Luke and Leia Skywalker were to a galaxy far far away, and a time long long ago.

a photogenic blonde, was thrust into the spotlight three years ago thanks to Sports Illustrated’s “Cheerleader of the Week,”a popular feature on the magazine’s website in which she appeared in 2008.
Who knew that the previously anonymous Pflugrad would still be prominent today?
her good looks certainly have helped during a career as a television reporter/personality for FOX Sports Arizona since graduating from Oregon last year. The bio on FOX’s websitedescribes her as a lifestyle reporter within the sports world, covering both the Arizona Cardinals, for example, while appearing with entertainment host Melissa Rivers for a “Style Showdown.”
Her role has been dubbed “Amanda in the City” as Pflugrad has been a woman about town in the Phoenix area, where she focuses her coverage on “charity events that both pro athletes and celebrities are involved with in the Valley,” her bio reads.
In week 2 versus a then ranked Missouri Tigers team, WR Aaron Pflugrad collected a career-high 180 receiving yards and two touchdowns on eight catches. Put into perspective, Pflugrad had a combined 576 total yards of receiving and three touchdowns in his career entering this season, and finished with about a third of his prior receiving yards and two-thirds of his prior touchdown totals. Put into more perspective, Pflugrad had averaged just 16.9 yards of receiving per game during his career entering this season.
By the way, here’s a couple more pics of Amanda Pflugrad, starting with my all-time favorite one:
