Danica Patrick isn’t the best NASCAR driver. Actually, she’s really pretty bad this season thus far. However, she is the most marketable and visible NASCAR driver. And Danica Patrick will increase her visibility with a question-and-answer session inside the Checkered Flag Fan Zone on Sunday, Sept. 15.
The q-and-a will take place prior to the green flag of the GEICO 400, the first race of the Sprint Cup Chase Series at Chicagoland Speedway. Also appearing on Sunday in the Checkered Flag Fan Zone will be Dale Earnhardt Jr., winner of NASCAR’s NMPA Most Popular Driver Award for a record tying 10 consecutive years.
So there’s a lot of NASCAR star power here.
On Saturday, Sept. 14, NASCAR legends – and brothers – Bobby Allison and Donnie Allison will host the Checkered Flag Fan Zone, before the start of the Dollar General 300. Named one of the NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers, Bobby was the 1983 Winston Cup Series champion and a 2011 NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee.
Here’s the schedule for the weekend. Where you can see Danica Patrick in action.
Friday, Sept. 13 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
Saturday, Sept. 14 Dollar General 300 (Nationwide)
Sunday, Sept. 15 GEICO 400 (Cup)
