Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was one of the most vehement defenders of the Hebrew Hammer Ryan Braun when he made his appeal to MLB. Aaron Rodgers attacked anyone who doubted Ryan Braun at the time of his positive test for PEDs, tweeting:
“MLB and cable sports tried to sully the reputation of an innocent man. They Picked the wrong guy to mess with” and “Truth will set u free #exonerated.”
Obviously, Aaron Rodgers thought Braun was innocent. And he was willing to bet a year’s salary on Twitter to a fan that Braun was innocent. Now that Ryan Braun is full of shiz, Rodgers has some recanting to do. Oh, and Aaron Rodgers did not settle up with that fan, who was willing to settle for a week of Aaron Rodgers salary.
Here’s what Aaron Rodgers said:
“I was shocked, I really was, just like many of you were … I was backing up a friend. He looked me in the eye on multiple occasions and repeatedly denied these allegations and said they were not true. So, it is disappointing, not only for myself as a friend, but for obviously Wisconsin sports fans, Brewer fans, really baseball fans. It doesn’t feel great being lied to like that and I’m disappointed in the way it all went down.”
