When I heard about $31 for beer at a NBA game, I first thought “well, that’s only slightly more than the Chicago Bears charge for beer at home games, but still that seems REALLY high.”
Actually, this story is not about extreme price inflation, it’s really about a helluva deal; because you actually get a NBA game ticket, snacks and a whole holiday, winter beer tasting for that $31! Yes, it’s the Cleveland Cavaliers, and they’re playing the Charlotte Bobcats that night, so it qualifies as a NBA game (just barely I know).
Still, the Chicago Bulls charge over a C-Note for upper level tickets to the prime home games. Yes, prices north of $100 for nosebleeds! In this economy no less, so this Cavs deal sounds like bargain to me.
Here’s the details from the Cavs official website:
Join the Cavs for the very first Holiday Beer Tasting at The Q on Tuesday, January 3rd at 5:30 p.m.! For just $31, fans will receive a great seat to the game and access to a private pregame beer tasting starting 90 minutes before tipoff with snacks, four (4 oz.) winter beer samples and an exclusive pint glass to take home!
In addition, guests will have an opportunity to purchase full-size beers and sodas at a discounted price before they head down to their seats to catch the Cavs as they take on the Charlotte Bobcats at 7:30 p.m.
