The Chicago Bulls announced their team which will participate in the 2016 Las Vegas Summer League. This year’s #1 draft pick, #14 overall, Denzel Valentine out of Michigan State (the last pick in the lottery) headlines the roster, which includes fellow Spartan alumni Raymar Morgan.
Yes, the same Raymar Morgan who is balling with the Spartan Heroes (Michigan State Alumni) in “The Basketball Tournament.”
The Spartan Heroes will play in the south suburbs of Chicago next weekend at St. Xavier College in Oak Lawn, IL. For Valentine, it’s a chance to showcase what he can do at the next level.
The team just signed a one (Rajon Rondo) and a two (Dwyane Wade), to add to the rotation, so will Valentine see his minutes at the three?
Also on the team is new Bulls acquisition Jerian Grant and former Maryland star Dez Wells, who was at the Bulls practice facility today; which coincided with Rondo media availability.
One very interesting name on the roster is former Northwestern guard Tre Demps. The last time we spoke of him, he was letting it all out, telling it like it is on politics, socioeconomics, etc. following his team’s controversial elimination from the Big Ten Tournament.

The Bulls summer league squad begins play on Saturday, July 9th versus the Boston Celtics. All five of Chicago’s games will be played at COX Pavilion and the Thomas & Mack Center located on the campus of UNLV.
