Comedian Lindsay Glazer on Scottie Pippen’s “Evolving” M.J. vs Lebron Stances

scottie pippen lindsay glazer

Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen has been retired for over a decade, but in 2019 he’s just as relevant as ever. The new year has seen Pippen consistently in the headlines for a host of different reasons. Last month he gave his take on Duke freshman and NBA super-prospect Zion Williamson, suggesting the blue chip frosh ditch the Blue Devils in midseason to start preparing for the NBA Draft.

This was before the Nike shoe fail incident leading to Williamson’s minor injury, so let’s give Pippen some credit on that one. Last week saw Pippen trending again as he “evolved” his opinion on the ultra-stale Michael Jordan vs. Lebron James “debate” for the umpteenth time. We asked comedian Lindsay Glazer (Woloshin) for her take on that news story, and a couple more Scottie Pippen related topics.

New England Patriots Least Liked Dynasty, Chicago Bulls Most Liked, Poll Says

With four Super Bowl appearances in the last five and 10 of the last 17, it’s understandable if you have New England Patriots fatigue at this point. In fact, you may be so sick of the Patriots right now that it’s turning you off from watching the Super Bowl on Sunday.
On the hand, the explosion of legalized sports gambling in the United States and expanded Super Bowl prop betting will make this game “interesting” for those who are sick of the Pats.

And if you are one of those sports fans who has grown weary of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and company, well a Morning Consult poll shows that you are not alone.

Yes, the same Raymar Morgan who is balling with the Spartan Heroes (Michigan State Alumni) in “The Basketball Tournament.”

5 reasons the Chicago Bulls could beat the Cavs in the East

chicago-bulls-logo-poster-c10207193.jpg

For all intents and purposes, the ‘experts’ have handed the Eastern Conference crown to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Why wouldn’t they after an off-season in which they landed LeBron James and Kevin Love among others?

That’s just the way the Chicago Bulls like it as they thrive on going under the radar and developing into one of the best teams in the NBA almost covertly. There’s one thing Chicago wants to change this season though – regular season wins are nice, but it’s time to go deep in the playoffs. With the way things are shaping up, Bulls fans might just see a return to glory.

Chicago Bulls sign E’Twaun Moore; local product, childhood fan

etwaun moore

E’Twaun Moore grew up a Chicago Bulls fan.

Today he joined the team.

The 6-4, 191 pound guard hails from East Chicago, Indiana, so this is literally “living the dream.” Moore worked out at the Berto Center (the Bulls’ practice facility in Deerfield, IL) right before the NBA Draft, and The Sports Bank asked him then what kind of feedback the Bulls gave him.

“Told me to be myself and try to get as strong as I can,” Moore said.

Should the Bulls go after Mike D’Antoni?

chicago bulls mike d'antoni

There have been many comments over the last few days in the media and among Chicago Bulls fans on the internet about the future of head coach Tom Thibodeau, especially now that Mike D’Antoni has resigned as head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Thibs has been an amazing coach during the regular season- after being named NBA Coach of the Year in his first season at the Bulls’ helm, he has finished second, eighth and third in years two through four. Obviously, the man is one hell of a coach.

Chicago Bulls are the biggest surprise in the NBA this season

Joakim Noah Derrick Rose

The Chicago Bulls have achieved great things up to now in the season and no one really knows how further they can get. Really, Chicago has managed to save the season after yet another season – ending injury from Derrick Rose. But on top of that, the Bulls, riding Joakim Noah’s incredible performances have managed to turn what seemed to be a lost season into a championship contending one. [Read more…]

The Chicago Bulls Are With Their Backs Against The Wall

Derrick Rose

Despite having their superstar and leader, Derrick Rose, back after 1.5 years the Chicago Bulls haven’t started the 2013-2014 season as they wanted. After five games in the season they are now 2-3 and they worst thing is that the team doesn’t perform as every Bulls fans would like to.

Kendall Gill: what will become of Bulls TV analyst, Illini legend?

kendall-gill-illinois

As you now have heard, Kendall Gill, former Illinois Fighting Illini star and Chicago Bulls pre-and-post game analyst for Comcast SportsNet Chicago (and WGN sometimes too) is suspended for the rest of the year. It’s all in the station’s hands, but Gill’s job could be in serious jeopardy when CSN re-evaluates his contract this off-season.

During his suspension, Gill won’t miss much when it comes to Bulls basketball.

He might be missing the studio and the money, but this Bulls season is a lost cause. They have first-round elimination written all over them and the Derrick Rose returning or not returning drama has now mentally, psychologically and emotionally persecuted a fan base. It’s now at Roger Clemens or Brett Favre level status. And I don’t know who’s at fault: the team, the doctors, D. Rose, Coach Thibs, the 3rd largest media market in the country, the Luvabulls, everyone all at once…but I do know the storyline is draining and irritating. This Bulls season can’t end fast enough.

I just hope Gill’s broadcasting career doesn’t end with it.

But if it does, I completely understand why.

I’ve written over 1,700 words about the past, present and future of Kendall Gill. Go here for that.

Derrick Rose likely returning on Monday night!

derrick_rose

A Derrick Rose comeback? Two media sources in Chicago are speculating Rose will play for the first time this season on March 18th. NBA fans will likely have to wait just a couple more days for a Derrick Rose return. Chicago Bulls fans, it seems the 2011 league MVP, Derrick Rose, will be playing on Monday night versus the Denver Nuggets. You can see Derrick Rose on the court, not just on pizza boxes. The Bulls moved the telecast of their game with Denver from Comcast SportsNet+ Chicago to Comcast SportsNet Chicago.

The Bulls are switching places with the Blackhawks, and when you consider that the Blackhawks have been breaking television ratings records left and right, you know something big has to be happening to bump them down. The broadcast news began with Daily Herald Bulls beat reporter Mike McGraw, who tweeted:

Bulls Derrick Rose appearing on pizza boxes now: photo

bulls-derrick-rose

The Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose may not be appearing on an NBA basketball court, at least in a game action any time soon, but he is appearing on pizza boxes. The Bulls Derrick Rose, pizza do I need to throw in the Blues Brothers somehow just so you can have all the Chicago stereotypes in one place?

Chicago based pizza chain Giordano’s (every time tourists visit me going to Giordano’s is near the top of their list) now has the 2011 NBA MVP on the top of their containers. So watch the Bulls with a nice hot pizza, and a glaring reminder of who’s not playing in the game you’re watching.

Will Derrick Rose come back this year?
