Marcos Rojo is red. Literally, the word rojo is red in Spanish. However, he is still yet to wear the red kit of Manchester United, despite being purchased by the team about two weeks ago. Rojo’s hold-up is a narrative we’ve been tracking for some time.
And now, some new developments.
Manchester United may not ever be able to play Marcos Rojo due to issues with third-party ownership still not being resolved. The Argentine has also not yet had his work permit approved, says a story in The Sun today.
And here’s a synopsis of the Marcos Rojo story from the Daily Mail:
“Marcos Rojo’s move to Manchester United is under threat due to work permit and third party issues concerning the 24-year-old.”
So where do we go from here? Given the way the season has gone thus far, reinforcements are needed. And now! A goalless draw at Burnely? No wins in the first three Premier League matches? First four of the Louis van Gaal era. Egad! What is going on here?
