Jurgen Klopp Plays Youngest Liverpool Side Ever; Ends in Draw

Comedian and Liverpool super fan John Oliver once described LFC Manager Jurgen Klopp thusly:

“Not only is he a sensational tactician, an inspirational figure, he’s also a funny, angry German, and that is the best kind of German there is. So if you want to go and see a guy losing his shit, even in preseason, usually preseason games are boring but that’s not the case here because he’s not having it.”

“He does not understand not doing things at full pace all the time.”

While that is true, how Klopp almost never takes his foot off the gas pedal, ever, today the German decided to field a weaker side for Liverpool’s FA Cup third round tie against Plymouth. Jurgen Klopp paid the price for it, as the Reds result was a goalless draw at home versus a league 2 (that’s the fourth tier of English football by the way) side. Hey though, he had to rest the starters at some point during this crazy period.

Now the Reds must participate in a replay on the road.

Take a look at the starting XI that Jurgen Klopp put out there:

The first team had an average age of just 21 years, 296 days. It included the youngest goal scorer in the history of the club, 17-year-old Ben Woodburn, and 19-year-olds Ovie Ejaria and Sheyi Ojo.
