Former Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood will likely lead Aston Villa

Tim Sherwood was often confident during his public appearances while he held the managerial position at White Hart Lane. Sometimes he was too glib for Tottenham Hotspur. But maybe he’s a better fit for a smaller club like Aston Villa.

Tim Sherwood has emerged as the overwhelming favorite to replace Paul Lambert and take over the Villans. Sports book Paddy Power has Tim Sherwood at 1-2 odds of taking over at AVFC. There had been talk Team USA Manager Jurgen Klinsmann was a favorite to take the vacant gig in Birmingham. Now not so much. 

….here’s what the rumor mill is what saying.

-(The Telegraph) Aston Villa are closing in on former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood as the replacement for Paul Lambert as manager.

-(Daily Mail) Tim Sherwood has held discussions with Aston Villa and is understood to have told the club he is interested in taking over as manager.

And a quick update on the current managerial situation with the club right now.

-(Daily Express) Aston Villa caretaker boss Scott Marshall admits he is likely to consult axed boss Paul Lambert ahead of tomorrow’s FA Cup with Leicester.
