Tottenham Hotspur Manager Maurico Pochettino was disappointed in the yellow card ruling on Dele Alli to say the least. Alli was booked in Spurs 3-0 win over Fiorentina in the UEFA Europa League yesterday.
You might say that the Argentine didn’t exactly see eye to eye with the official on this one.
“I think like you, like all the people in the stadium, it was not a yellow card,” Pochettino said.
“I think it was a foul for us, but sometimes the referee gets it wrong. We will miss him for the first leg but we are a strong team.
“We have a lot of games ahead and we will start to compete in the Europa League again – and we will try and play as well in the next round.”
Spurs will take on Borussia Dortmund in the next round, and BVB leadership had a ton of praise for Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. Go here to read all the kind words they had for Pochettino and company.
