Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag met the media today, ahead of Sunday’s clash versus Tottenham Hotspur, and what he said was mixed news regarding the injury list. It’s good, in regards to Christian Eriksen, Antony, Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro.
It’s bad pertaining to Harry Maguire, Mason Mount and Victor Lindelöf. While the IL just got a lot shorter, it still remains long.

FA Cup 4th Round Draws: go here
Lisandro Martínez, who needed surgery to recovery from a foot injury could feature for the first time this season. Meanwhile Casemiro, who has been out since November with an ankle injury, could feature here as well. Another long-term injury absentee, young winger Amad Diallo, will be available, as will esteemed veteran left back Luke Shaw.
Martinez is training, Casemiro is training, Luke Shaw is training,” Ten Hag told the assembled media today.
There are players returning and they are coming in for selection for Sunday. [Christian] Eriksen will return, Antony will return, Amad will return. We have more choice in this moment in the squad to put out a starting XI and create a bench that is stronger.”
Injuries are not the only reason why United are where they are right now in the table, but they have been a major issue. This team has been injury-riddled, especially so in the back line, all season long. If United are to make a serious charge for the top four, then they’ll need to get their squad much more fully fit.
