Forward Marcus Rashford is not for sale, Manchester United have reportedly decided. Despite the local boy’s growing frustrations about his decreasing role with his hometown team, Old Trafford will turn down any and all offers this summer. Recent reports speculated that the 20-year-old could leave United in search of first team football elsewhere.
According to ESPN, “United had not received any formal inquiry about the availability of the England international, who has scored 12 goals in 44 games this season, and their stance is that any approach would be unwelcome.”
Rashford is under contract until 2020, and the club have an option to extend him one year. Rashford has started only five of the last 16 games for United. Additionally, he has seen his minutes per game average this season dip by seven. Rashford has made 43 appearances this season but only 22 of those have come via the first team.
