It will continue to be a very exciting summer transfer window at Manchester United, with plenty of comings and goings. Who will be the next to join Fred and Diogo Dalot as new arrivals this summer? Who will be heading out the Old Trafford door?
Let’s take a spin through the latest transfer rumors and gossip making the rounds on the internet today- we’ll cover one potential inbound, and one possible outbound transfer.
-Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot definitely wants to leave the French capital this summer, with a host of big clubs holding talks with his representatives.
According to 101 Great Goals, citing a Paris United report, his agent and mother Veronique had meetings with both Manchester clubs about a potential move. She’s also reportedly spoken with Juventus and Barcelona.
The People’s Person writes that: “PSG have mainly been using Rabiot as a defensive midfielder and though he played well enough to be on his nation’s standby list for the World Cup, he’s not pleased.”
Rabiot wasn’t used as a first team regular under Unai Emery at the Parc des Princes this past season and his role with the Ligue 1 powerhouse moving forward is not clear. Under the new manager, Thomas Tuchel, it remains to be seen how the 23-year-old will fit into the plan. Rabiot might just be better off with a fresh start.
In keeping with the French and PSG theme, another huge club is being linked to Anthony Martial. We already knew that Paris Saint-Germain was interested, along with Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus, but now Bayern Munich could be in the mix as well.
The Daily Star claims that Martial’s representatives held secret talks with the Bundesliga superpower regarding the potential for a transfer.
However, Bayern Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic refused to say much on the topic when it was brought up today.
“These things we discuss internally,” he said during a Monday presser held for the purposes of unveiling new Bayern manager Niko Kovac.
“If there is something to tell you, we will do that.”
